About our Reproductions
As Miriam’s family, we’re serious about her work being represented by the finest-quality reproductions available. This is why we are proud to work with Chrome Digital, a company that redefines excellence in digital imaging, to create gallery-quality giclée reproductions of Miriam’s art.
Each painting first undergoes an advanced digital capture - in other words, an ultra-high-quality digital scan. The experts at Chrome Digital then personally tend to each scan to make sure that they accurately reflect the vibrant detail and rich color present in all of Miriam’s work. Once this process is done, the printing begins.
For fine art printing, Chrome Digital uses brand new Canon Imageprograf Pro-4000 and Pro-6000 printers to produce impeccable giclée reproductions. These printers are used alongside Canon’s LUCIA PRO ink formulation to enable smooth gradients, an expanded color gamut and deep color expression.
For paper, Chrome uses the Ilford Galerie Prestige Cotton Artist Textured 310 gsm - a mould-made 100% cotton rag paper. The coarse structured surface allows for a beautiful traditional watercolor look and feel, while still reproducing pin-sharp details and color consistency.
For oil or reproductions on canvas, Chrome uses the Breathing Color Lyve 19 mil 450 gsm matte canvas - Lyve canvas offers incredible detail, a wide color gamut and is OBA-Free yet still bright white. Archival certified for 100+ years.
In other words, in terms of physical appearance and texture, the only notable difference between our reproductions and Miriam’s original artwork is that the reproductions come on better paper and canvas. Otherwise, they are virtually indistinguishable from an original.
